This page explains how our website works for people with disabilities, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text or less motion.

Our goal

Everyone should be able to find our prices, hours and directions, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

• Text and buttons are sized and coloured for strong contrast against the background, in both the day and the night look.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, and the item you are on is clearly outlined.
• Every photo has a text description for screen readers.
• Nothing on the page moves unless you want it to. If your device is set to reduce motion, or you are on a phone or tablet, the page is still when it loads. There is also a switch in the footer of the home page to turn movement on or off yourself, and it remembers your choice.
• No video starts on its own with sound.
• The page adapts to any screen from a small phone to a large monitor, and to browser zoom, without sideways scrolling.
• On touch screens, links and buttons are large enough to tap comfortably.

Known limits

• The AMSOIL film in the products section is supplied by AMSOIL and has no captions or transcript. If you would like to know what it says, call the shop and we will talk you through it.
• That film uses your browser's own video controls, whose appearance we cannot change.
